On Sunday 20th March Ningbo Xiaoshi High School presented the first Art exhibition by four young Artists from the International Baccalaureate Centre.
Word soon spread about the impressive standard and thought provoking nature of the work and the event was very well attended. The exhibition was so popular it attracted outside visitors including an Art Historian. The students were also delighted that the IB Centre Principle and his wife, students and their families, teachers and friends all gave their support.

Feng Wuchao, Dong Yu, Xu Zheng and Zheng Zhixin exhibited amazing Artwork. Each Artist had their own individual theme and these included Altered States, Who am I?, Simplification and Water (pollution). The media on display included, drawing, painting, digital printing, mixed media, installation, video and animation. Each artist expressed their awesome talent and their passion. The quality of the work produced matched the many hours spent making and exhibiting the work.

Messages of praise were expressed and during the exhibition time there were many views discussing the means and ideas that the artists hid inside their work. The four Artists were available to answer questions and many people from the audience expressed how deep and thoughtfully the work made them think.

If you ask anyone who attended the exhibition 'Here It IS', they will tell you it is an exhibition that they will never forget.
Beautiful music was also provided by teacher Mr M Humber and student Changfa Fu and providing a very relaxing atmosphere for the whole afternoon.
Hot and cold drinks were provided by ‘Limitless' that is a fundraising organisation run by students to raise money for disadvantaged children and Bondaweb sold handmade books for a charity that supports homeless animals.
Feng Wuchao, Dong Yu, Xu Zheng and Zheng Zhixin and Art teacher Ms A Burdett would like to thank everyone who helped and attended making the afternoon such a great success.
For those people that were disappointed not to be able to attend the event the young Artists plan to hold another exhibition near Tianyi square in the summer.
Overall, it was a wonderful afternoon.
