效实中学IB中心第一届视觉艺术展

Xiaoshi High School IB Centre First Visual Art Exhibition

As a part of our Art course, this exhibition is a big test which shows our ability to make Art as Visual Art students. This exhibition contains the Art work of four young artists’ from Xiaoshi IB Centre and covers different Art making forms such as printing, sculpture, paste printing, pixel art, film as well as animation. 

 

The work covers different themes and includes “Altered States”, “Who Am I”, “Water” and “Simplification”. All the work is original and made with our creativity, rationality and patience’. 

 

The topic “altered state” expresses Feng, Wuchao’s coherent journey of the discussion about altered states. 'I have tried to explore this theme in several aspects: how our natural and social environment altered in the last decades; how people react to the altered environment; how the social relationship developed responding to the changes; how people feel while suffering the changes in the external environment'. 

 

Dong Yu's work looks at her personal identity and what it means to be a young person growing up in China's fast developing society.

 

Zheng Zhixin with her stylize artworks reminds us of how we should respect water and the seriousness of water pollution. 

 

Finally my work is about simplification and making things easier.  We hope you will visit our exhibition and enjoy a wonderful afternoon.

 

 

    作为IB 美术课程的一部分，此次的美术展览是一次大考，也是我们作为艺术学生展现艺术水平的一次机会。此次艺术展囊括了来自效实IB中心四位年轻艺术家的作品；其中不乏有绘画、雕塑、粘贴画、视频以及动画等不同艺术类型。

 

这些作品包含了“变”、“我是谁”、“水”以及“简化”四个主题，所有的原创作品都包含了我们的创意、理性以及耐心。

 

主题“变”表达了冯吴超对于在讨论创作过程中对“变”的不断理解。“我试图从以下几个方面去探索去这个主题的理解：我们的自然环境和社会环境在过去几十年里发生了怎样的改变；人们是如何应对这些改变的；社会关系在应对改变的过程中发生了哪些变化；当外部环境发生变化时人们的感受如何。”

 

董虞作品着眼于她的个人身份；以及作为一个年轻人，在这个迅猛发展的中国社会成长意味这什么。

 

郑芝欣以她富有个性的艺术作品提醒我们尊重水资源，认识水污染的严重性。

 

最后，我的作品讨论了如何简化我们的周遭。
